About build labels
Your build name updates as you change attributes. Before Cap Breakers and with Cap Breakers can have different names. Finish assigning points to see the name of your completed build. Fix invalid attributes or plans when a name is unavailable.
Why these names?
The classifier uses position-specific thresholds and tie priorities. Free Throw is excluded. Names are recalculated after edits and draft reopening; cost type is a separate label, never substituted as a build name.
Keep a name or player shade
Start lean, finish your way. A name or player starter uses the fewest points we found for that choice. Add the remaining attributes yourself, or review a suggested fill that keeps your locks. Some choices may leave points unspent.
Choose a name to find a starting build. Review it before applying.
Build around a player shade
Choose a player to keep in Shades of while you adjust your build. Start with low-point attributes and use the remaining points your way.
Your player starter begins lean so you can customize it. Fill remaining points suggests attributes for your remaining points while keeping your locked shade.

How player starting builds work
The builder looks for attributes that put your chosen player in Shades of, then removes points while keeping that match. It finds a low-point starting build, but not necessarily the lowest possible one. The lock uses attributes before Cap Breakers. Your other locks and plans stay in place. Player choices come from the saved player roster, with roster OVR of 82 or higher.

Point calculation
Cost type
The calculation groups builds by the attributes that use the most points. This affects attribute costs and Cap Breaker gains; it is separate from your build name.
How review and protected drafts work
Protected minimums travel with saved/downloaded drafts in this editor. Older editor versions may discard this new extension; use the current version to reopen protected drafts.
Preview uses the same source-linked edit as Apply, including budget limits and automatic body changes. Badge resource choices and undo/redo remain immediate. Unapplied previews are not saved.
